Change the start of Daylight Saving Time from second Sunday in March at 2 AM to the second Wednesday in March at 2 PM.

We petition the legislative branch of the United States of America to change the start of Daylight Saving Time (DST) from second Sunday in March at 2 AM to the second Wednesday in March at 2 PM. Granted, not the most pressing issue out there. But it is proven that the weekend of, and the days following, is more auto accident prone due to lack or disruption of sleep patterns. Changing to a Wednesday afternoon, this would provide a working day for Americans to look forward to, rather than to steal an hour from a weekend night. Employers could choose to pay employees for the extra hour or not. Just like happens on a lesser basis with overnight weekend workers. (This petition requests nothing for the end of DST and prefers that it remains as is.) It is time to do something for the public!
