change state's rights to set the number of health care workers to residents in nursing homes.

Created by D.S. on January 22, 2012

The need to change the ratio of stna's to residents in nursing homes is of utmost urgency. The care the residents are receiving is deplorable and it is not the caregivers fault. They are overworked and underpaid and too often they are accused of neglect when it is management that refuses to hire more help in order to make a profit from helpless human beings. Not only should nurses vote on how many personell to hire but the workers themselves should have a vote. 1:15, 1:25 is the usual daylight ratio with often more. Please help change this. This petition will not only make conditions in nursing homes much safer but it will open up thousands of badly needed jobs. Please help and thank you.
