change stubborn America to the Metric System.

Created by J.B. on September 16, 2015

I have a dream. I dream that my children will be able to watch European, or South American, or Asian, or African television or movies and understand their units. I have a dream, a dream that my children will drive cars with km/h speedometers. I dream that my children will talk in meters and liters. For ease of, well everything.

The Metric system, unlike Customary, utilizes a base number. This base is ten. This base is common to all unit transformations, using an order of magnitude each time. 'Tis 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000, et cetera. Customary is just, well, hard to learn, overcomplicated, hard to remember, and all-around senseless. I want a nationwide plan for transitioning to the Metric system over a period of five years or so.

Sincerely and with the utmost respect,
Joseph Berrigan
