Each Branch of the Military has different tattoo policies when I comes to enlistment and re-enlistment. Tattoos are becoming more acceptable in today's society. They have no effect on one's ability to do their job or complete their mission. If anything, it is prohibiting highly qualified applicants and prior service from entering/re-entering the military. As long as the tattoo(s) are not visible in the duty uniform (utility uniform/ACU, etc.) one should not be disqualified due to their personal art. One can still look professional as long as the tattoo(s) are not on the hands, neck, face, and head. While the Army recently allowed "Sleeves", the Marine Corps has prohibited "Sleeves", even half and quarter sleeves. Do not let personal expression and art limit qualified personnel from serving
