CHANGE THE TAX CODE TO REMOVE THE CAPITAL LOSS CLAIM LIMIT FOR INDIVIDUALS

Created by S.M. on March 05, 2014

WE ARE REQUESTING A CHANGE TO THE TAX CODE TO REMOVE THE CAPITAL LOSS CLAIM LIMIT FOR INDIVIDUALS.
The current tax code for an individual
(http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc409.html)
has an arbitrary and unrealistic limit ($3,000/YEAR) on how much of a capital loss one can claim in a year and to carryover.
THAT IS SIMPLY ABSURD.
Life has no such limit on loss, why should this tax code stand ?

Think of the serious cases, when there is a loss of much more than $3,000; that is precisely when one needs the most help, and yet one is hamstrung by this.
