This petition seeks to change any past or future reference of the term "Enhanced Interrogation," or any variation, as it relates to the CIA actions taken during the Post-911 period to the more appropriate term of "Torture."
As outlined by the Senate's report on CIA activities during the Post-911 Period, the CIA deceived the pubic about it's actions towards those held captive and subject to "Enhanced Interrogation" techniques. The CIA's true actions can easily be described as, and has been referenced to at the highest levels, "Torture." Therefore it is inappropriate to reference these activities as anything less than what they actually are.
