Change the term "Marriage" to something with no religious affiliation

I propose the removal of the term "Marriage" from any and all government documents and replacing it with a term that has no previous religious affiliation. By doing this it would "protect" its meaning for those who wish to keep it to only a man and woman (the religious view) while allowing same-sex couples to enjoy the full benefits of being "married", just without the religious history the term currently has. The term will probably live on indefinitely as it is currently used in the most part, but should not be present on government documents.
