It is time to start talking about meaningful wages. Everyone in this rich country of ours should be able to earn a living by working 40 hours a week. The lowest wage mandated should be a living wage and it needs to be called that so we can address the unreasonable inequity of businesses that employ workers at the current minimum wage and then expect other taxpayers/ government to make up the difference in needed benefits.
