Texas has a law in place were they can take you to court for missing four day of school in a six week period and they don't care if you have an excuse for why you missed if it is not from a doctor of anyone else they just don't care.
My story of why they need to change.
My school Coahoma isd took me to court or missing school when my moms car brakes went out I miss a lot of school and we called and told them why I could not make it they did not send anyone to get me even when I asked them to get me. Now they are sending me back to court for missing four days of school. I am an (a-b) student and they still sent me to court plus the did not warn me about it I just got the letter in the mail and now I have 20 hours of community service to make up. We the people need to change this now.
