Many people must travel Wednesday after work to visit relatives on Thanksgiving making the roads congested and unsafe. They also take off Friday to shop or return home. This is inefficient for companies and stressful on people. If Thanksgiving was celebrated on Friday, people could take off Thursday to travel. They could return home over the weekend, and only miss two days of work instead of three. Our country is trying to compete with the World. We need to be as efficient as possible. Shopping on Black Friday is basically over because stores are starting their sales early. We need to start thinking outside the box.
