The United States health care system is the most expensive health care system in the world costing 3.8 trillion dollars. Switching to a universal healthcare would lower the cost by $592 billion in 2014, and up to $1.8 trillion over the next decade due to lowered administrative and prescription drug costs. The United States ranked last in many studies to determine international health care rankings, and the World Health Organization(WHO) ranked them 37th out of 191 countries for our health care. 22 of the top 25 countries have some sort of universal health care system. The United States can have a successful health care system too, we just need to follow the path paved for us and change our health care system to a universal health care system.
