Only 3 countries in the world still use the imperial measurement system: The USA, Liberia, and Burma. The metric system will not only be easier to learn, but also easier to use. Think about the last time you had to convert feet to miles. Feet / 5280. Not exactly mental math friendly. Now think about converting meters to kilometers: meters/1000. If you can shift decimals, you can use metric. Most scientists agree that metric is the more modern system, with most scientific constants based on it. Converting to metric also helps us reduce inefficiencies and embarrassing accidents. The $125 million Mars Climate Orbiter space probe was lost due to a failure to convert from English to metric.
Let us stop using archaic measurements, and change to the one used in the modern era: SI.
