The VA currently calculates a Veterans injuries on a percentage basis, which is fair, however the VA only provides pay for those injuries at the highest percentage while not providing financial support for the lower percentages. This policy prevents Veterans from receiving the full amount they would qualify for under normal circumstances. e.g. A veteran may have 10% for a hearing injury, and 40% for PTSD. The VA , while recognizing all injuries, will only provide pay for the 40% PTSD since this is the highest single percentage injury, and never pay the additional 10%. This is an example of Government math, in grade school 10 + 40 = 50, not to the VA math, 10 + 40 = 40. Does that make sense?
