On Wednesday July 31, 2013, the local Arizona concert promoter K&Z Entertainment announced they had booked the hit punk rock sensation WAVVES at the Scottsdale concert venue Martini Ranch as a 18 + only show. Whether this decision was made by the promoter or WAVVES is to be determined, yet an issue still stands: WAVVES' music generally caters to teenagers in between the ages of 13 & 18. When WAVVES performed in Phoenix, AZ, earlier this year, a great majority of the attendees were comprised of teenagers meeting this demographic. This show was packed. Naturally, a WAVVES show in AZ simply can't meet its full potential playing to an audience limited to only adults. Where did capitalism fail? Sign this petition and bring justice to Scottsdale, Arizona. Move the show to an all ages venue.
