Change Virginia's State Motto

Created by N.H. on June 03, 2013

Virginia's State Motto is one of the most devastating three words in all of American history "Sic semper tyrannis" which in the English translation means "thus always to tyrants" These chilling words where uttered by the murderer, John Wilkes Booth when he leaped from Lincoln's booth after he had assassinated President Lincoln. As an American, I cannot understand why, a United States state motto is the words of an assassin who killed a great President who had preserved our great nation, I urge President Obama and all of congress to urge Virginia to change their state motto.
