Change Voting Day to Weekend

Created by D.R. on March 03, 2014

The United States of America needs to change Election Day to the first Saturday and Sunday in November for the sake of voters. Millions of U.S. citizens find it is difficult to go vote on the first Tuesday of November because of their inflexible job schedule. The present has significantly changed since 1845, when congress made Tuesday the Election Day. A vote for this petition is a vote to raise America's low voter participation. America is low in the voter turnout. For example, 2012 voter turnout for the Presidential Election was 57.5%.
