Change the voting process from the electoral college to popular vote so everyone's vote is heard and equal.

This petition is very important to me because I feel like my country has failed to give me a voice in electing our next president of the United States. I live in the state of Alabama, which is a solid republican state. If I vote democratic or independent, my vote is drowned out by all of the votes for the republican nominee. I feel like my vote is not as crucial as someone who lives in Florida or Ohio and I do not feel compelled to vote if my voice cannot be heard within my community. I believe that if we call ourselves a democracy, everyone's vote has to be equal. Thank you, and God bless.
