Despite that many states now recognize a Presidents Day, the Federal Government still only recognizes "Washington's Birthday", though the holiday never falls on the actual date of his birth. Renaming the Holiday more generally honors both Abraham Lincoln's Birthday in the month of February and all of the other important leaders of our Executive Branch. Moving the date earlier in the month stays away from any specific birthday to honor both Washington, Lincoln and every other President. Celebrating on the 1st Monday in February allows for even more collective national enjoyment of what's become a quintessential American tradition, crowning an NFL champion, something that all of our Presidents, regardless of politics, could surely appreciate.
