In the partisan battle over raising taxes and class warfare, I believe the solution lays not with raising taxes on any group rather taking away tax ridoffs for banks who refuse reasonable offers on foreclosed or shortsale properties. I believe while those in banking may not agree with this suggestion the American people have bailed out our banks and now banks are unwilling to help the American people! A bank should be treated like an individual on unemployment. An individual on unemployment that refuses a job loses his or her benefits. This should be the same standard held of banks. If the bank refuses a reasonalbe offer on a short sale or a bank owned property they should lose the tax ride off for the loss on the property. Making banks socially responsible will help the economy.
