change the way Congressional Districts are delineated.

Created by J.H. on November 22, 2011

Until now, congressional districts have been delineated by politicians to maximize their political advantage. As a result, we see congressional districts that look like an abstract painting. One district that is 98% Party A and 2% Party B may be surrounded by six districts that are 55% Party B and 45% Party A. That means the 6 districts where Party B can carry a majority vote on issues that are in their best interests nullify the effectiveness of voters in the one district that has a 98% majority of voters in Party A. Often, these redlining practices are along racial lines.

This petition proposes that Congressional Districts be delineated by a totally arbitrary latitude and longitude.
