Our current congressional redistricting system is rigged to favor the current party in office for a particular state, which results in enriched ideological districts, that often don't make sense geographically. As a result, we see extreme ideology in the congress that doesn't reflect the more general Senate and White House voting, but is currently crippling our government. We need to move districting away from political influence to allow for more centrist politicians that are willing to compromise. This would ask the government to find a new way to determine congressional districts that was outside of political considerations and influence.
