Currently the majority of the responsibility for Radio Frequency Interference, (RFI), location for Amateur Radio falls on the person or group being interfered with. When the source is not located, but the RFI continues, very little can be done to resolve this issue under the current process.
This petition requests the Obama administration vigorously encourage the FCC to change the emphasis of who locates the Radio Frequency Interfering source, from the reporting party to the FCC itself. Further, once located the FCC should then continue the current enforcement practices, but further ban any of the same device, or devices like it, from being imported into the United States.
