Public education is currently funded through property taxes, which unfairly impacts those living in impoverished neighborhoods. We would like the government to switch the funding of public schools from local property taxes to a pool of property taxes nationwide, giving the schools equitable funding in a way that does not discriminate along the financial and racial boundaries that still divide this country. People would still have the opportunity to send their children to private schools, but public schools would give the lower economic classes in America a chance at a higher quality of education than they currently have.
