Change the way government hands down money to states such as Nebraska for Community Development funds.

Created by A.B. on January 16, 2013

We find that in Nebraska particularly the Omaha area the government city, state, federal have a difficult time letting the low income- women owned non profits, minority owned non profit have a place in getting funding, finding resources locally. I personally have contacted several agencies as well as foundations and have gotten the run around for a few years now. What I’m saying is the government should change the way they hand down the funding for community development, which is suppose to support the children and youth who are in need of places to go and after school funding, summer camps and the building up of the communities moral due to a large number of violence. We find that most individuals on the foundations and grant recipients has the same board of directors. WE HAVE NO CHANCE!
