We request that President Obama proposes an Amendment to the United States Constitution regarding the elections of Presidents. The Amendment would require a Presidential Candidate to win the popular vote, instead of the electoral college, to win the election. Such an amendment would ensure that every vote in an election would count, even if the voters candidate lost the state in which they reside.
Examples:
4,136,120 voters in California and 2,226,637 voters in New York voted for Mitt Romney
3,294,440 voters in Texas and 2,155,950 voters in North Carolina voted for President Barack Obama
These votes did not affect the outcome of the election due to the electoral college.
