It now has become plain to see that the office of the Speaker of the House welds to much power over the process. This situation has contributed mightily to the gridlock we are plagued with in Congress. The Speakers present roll has damaged our nation far to long.
It has become apparent that the roll of the Speaker of the House must be non-partisan. The Speaker of the House must not be chosen from the pool of Congress. The Speaker of the House shall be appointed by the Supreme Court of the United States, by a majority vote from the members of that court. The Speaker must remain strictly non-partisan, and must renounce, by oath, all affiliation with his or her former political party when taking office. The Speaker shall not take part in debate nor vote.
