Presently we are held hostage by contractors. Under the guise of "give it to private industry" we have spent and do spend hundreds of millions of dollars frivolously!
We have made contractors rich at the tax payers expense.
I propose to save the wasted funds (currently paid to contractors) and use them to set up workplaces (there are many unused empty building across America). The Government could hire workers on a NTE 2 years basis and do the exact same work that we pay contractors. PLUS we would save in that contractor who oversees a subcontractor, gets paid to watch them work. If the sub earns a million dollars a year, the main contractor makes half a million dollars to watch them do their work!
So many people are out of work, this would allow the Government to hire at a LOWER
