We, the hard working, tax-paying american citizens, are tired of watching our taxes being used to support able bodied citizens who are capable of working, but refuse to do so due to the "free" money they are receiving in government subsidies.
Government subsidies should be received on a temporary basis to assist those in need as a support and career assistance tool when times are tight, and not as an "all encompassing, permanent paycheck".
Citizens receiving assistance should be mandated to perform work-related assistance to local government agencies to alleviate unnecessary expenses to employ those who would normally be required to work.
We ask that the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) be revisited.
