Change the welfare system, the system helps the ones who dont want to help themselves. and the ones who work it doesnt.

I feel that the welfare system to me is backwards, when you work and want to better yourself you cant get ahead because the system cuts you right off, why not help the single mothers who go to school and work, or just work? why not give them medical benefits for their children and even foodstamps? I feel this would help alot of single mothers/fathers to get ahead and make it, if the system just helps the working parents alttile that would mean alot!
