When a A Soldier, Marine or Veteran gives his life for his country, he is sent home in what is called " A Dignified Transfer". But there is nothing 'Dignified' about being placed below your families feet in with the luggage. This Man or Woman has just made the ULTIMATE sacrifice for their country. Also if there is a transfer from one plane to another it happens without a family escort.
When President Kennedy died, his body rode next to his wife, and ALL service Men and Women should get the same respect.
We the below signed would like to petition that when the ultimate sacrifice is made, that the family has the choice for their Loved One to ride in the plane with them and that they be present at any plane transfers made. This will truely then be able to be called " A Dignified Transfer.
