According to a recent study (http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayAbstract?fromPage=online&aid...), we have substantial evidence that the United States is in fact now an oligarchy. Our Pledge of Allegiance however, is now misleading with the use of the word "Republic", when we all know by now that the system is corrupted and controlled by wealth. If you go ask those Germans, language precision is incredibly important, and from what I've collected we're trying strive to follow in their footsteps.
I say we should simply embrace our new overlords, and pay tribute to them. What better way to hail to our supreme leaders, than to announce them in our very own national pledge?
