Most States do not include Post-traumatic Stress disorder as a covered injury under their Workers Compensation Laws. This should be a mandatory requirement due to the nature of the job that first responders do. They respond to traumatic events daily and are disproportionately prone to develop PTSD. The White House should adopt Federal Legislation to include and make it mandatory for all state to adopt laws covering PTSD as a work related injury for First Responders.
