With Google's change to YouTube's comment system on November 6, 2013, you are now required to have a Google+ account in order to post a comment. This has angered many users who would rather continue posting under their current anonymous profile or simply don't want to be forced to create a Google+ account. Google is essentially invading our social life and trying to censor us unless we share the same worldview as they do.
The old comment system was simple, efficent and slick. Why change it to a cumbersome cluster of words and bland color that makes finding and replying to comments difficult?
Following the change, many petitions have been started to bring back the old comment system. As of November 20, 2013, two petitions on change.org have received a combined total of 243,000 signatures.
