Please create a Shared Custody Child Support federal law that states in a 50/50 custody situation the higher income parent support obligation for their child is only Health Care and Day/Child Care. Both parents are already equally sharing the basic necessities costs for their child because of the 50/50 custody. The child must be covered under the higher income parents employer or individual insurance plan and day care flex spending or personal checking account for this to take place. This will save tax payers millions of dollars in medicaid and child care subsidies because of the lower income parent being on state/government assistance to pay for these costs. Hopefully, this will promote parents to be more involved in their child's life and earn shared custody.
