Changes must be made to current laws, as well as new laws made, to better protect victims of domestic abuse and stalking

Created by C.V. on August 12, 2013

Victims of domestic disputes/violence/abuse & stalking need greater protection than they currently receive. I ask that the following changes to current laws be made:
-Notification for those who called 911 in the case of domestic violence/dispute when the abuser is released from psychiatric care
-Abuser surrenders house keys to officers in the presence of co-habitors when abuser is taken from the home as are weapons & concealed carry permit
-Officers will complete a welfare check/search of the entire house in the case of domestic dispute/violence for other victims
-If a second injunction is filed it will automatically be granted for at least one year regardless of marital status of victim & abuser/stalker
-Any investigator who searches for victim for the abuser will face criminal charges
