As of November 29, 2016 NYS has passed a Law that requires all auto body shops licensed to perform inspection on vehicles measure the tint that is on a vehicle. The set tolerance or limit is set to 70% as dictated by the law. This however is not fair to the law abiding citizens of New York State who have done nothing to merit this laws overbearing and overreaching attack. What most lawmakers fail to understand are the reasons for most people getting tint film applied to their personal vehicles, which include but are not limited to protection from harmful UV rays, sheilding of heat and sunlight, and the blinding affect it may have while operating a motor vehicle. The law is unfair to the law abiding citizens who have done nothing to warrant this malicious attack.
