Agricultural giants such as Tyson Foods are killing the chickens we eat with unnecessary pain. Chickens are often shoved down chutes, painfully de-beaked, and never exposed to sunlight. They become immune to the antibiotics used in their feed and die in large numbers due to the spread of diseases. Laws should be put in place demanding that companies use humane procedures to keep chickens, such as using painkillers and keeping smaller amounts of birds in each house.
