It is clear that many people are unhappy with the due and legal election carried out across this country. Rather than simply accept the will of the people, they are resolved to withdraw from this nation and attempt to form their own countries.
The civil war was fought and won by these United States a long time ago, and such treasonous plans cannot and should not be tolerated.
Therefore, I respectfully petition that all who make such petitions, and sign them, be charged with treason against the United States, and tried according to the United States Federal Code.
