Charge all who sign the "Officially recognize the Roman Catholic Church as a hate group" with a hate crime.
The Pope spoke of the the offical views of the Roman Catholic Church. People who hate religion and those who wrote the petition are more hateful than any real Christian church. God loves homosexual people and so does a real Christian church. Behavior is at issue, not people. Certain behaviors are morally wrong in the eyes of the church. However, the authors of the petition above are hateful of people. Therefore, they should be charged with a hate crime (if such a silly concept exists).
