With regards to the massive amount of drivers on the road right now with multiple DUI charges, the current punishment clearly is not severe enough. What America needs is something to catch the attention of these repeat offenders. Everyone is affected by drunk driving. The second and intoxicated driver turns the key in their ignition, your life is in danger; this is why it is necessary to charge these criminals with attempted murder, which is purely what they are committing by choosing to drive a vehicle.
