charge the Houston Police Officer responsible for the death of Guero the chihuahua with felony animal cruelty.

Created by L.B. on August 03, 2014

Josie Garcia was stopped by a Houston police officer for failing to use a turn signal, and a search of the vehicle turned up prescription medication, which Garcia said belonged to the passenger. His senior, blind dog, Guero (14) was in the car.
The officer took both men into custody. And when the tow truck arrived, the dog was placed on the side of the road.
Mr. Garcia pleaded to be allowed to call someone to pick up his dog to which the cop declined, saying the welfare of the dog was not his problem.
Charges against Garcia were later dropped, but the family still could not find their dog.
Guero was eventually found dead on the side of the road after being struck by a vehicle.
We ask that you please bring felony animal cruelty charges against the officer responsible for Guero's death.
