I would 1st like to start with an analogy between what is being done in Washington today and the situation that would be facing most of Americans if they were in the same position. If my supervisor came to me and said that the company ask us to do a project / task that I did not agree with, I would have two options; 1) Do my job or 2) Resign my position.
I am very concerned with the position of the leadership and the judiciary committee. It would seem that you have taken the position that, since its 10 months until the next president is seated, you do not have to do your job as outlined in The Constitution. As the Senate leader, publicly stating that you have no intention to address your responsibilities with regards to the US Supreme Court Nomination seems to me an act of Treason.
