On July 17th, 2014 Eric Garner was murdered in Staten Island, New York by police officer Daniel Pantaleo who put him in a chokehold. A move banned by the N.Y.P.D. more than twenty years ago in 1985.
Pleading multiple times with officers that he couldn't breathe, did nothing for Eric Garner. City medical examiners concluded that Garner was killed by neck compression from the chokehold, along with “the compression of his chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police”.
Please Mr. President, make an example out of Officer Daniel Pantaleo and the rest of the N.Y.P.D.. These types of assaults and blatant police brutality against its own citizens is uncalled for and unnecessary.
