Charge Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID 2) and Sens. Jon Tester (D-MT) and Max Baucus (D-MT) with treason.

Created by P.B. on January 20, 2013

When Idaho Rep. Mike Simpson and Montana Sens. Jon Tester and Max Baucus slipped Sec. 1713 into 2011's budget bill, it spelled a deadly double blow to the vast majority of Americans. This rider both overturned an important and just court ruling, but it also barred itself and the issue at question (wolf reintroduction in the Northern Rockies) from further judicial review. This last part is a blatant violation of our First Amendment Right to challenge a government ruling in court. And yet, the courts upheld this rider, albeit one of them did so reluctantly. We, the undersigned, believe that these three people have violated the First Amendment with Sec. 1713 of FY2011 budget bill and demand that they be punished.
