Child Care Stamps is a policy that allows both traditional or non-traditional families who fall below the poverty line to receive 40 hours of child care services per week free of charge. 40 hours is a full time work load that an average individual works in a week. This will enable the guardians to save the money they are earning rather than spending the majority of their income on child care services. However, if the family requires more than 40 hours per week of child care services, it becomes their responsibility to pay for the extra hours needed.
