We need at least one armed police officer in every publicly funded school. Our children deserve protection; our children deserve to have their odds for survival increased. We pay taxes for education, we pay taxes for the protection of this country, and we should demand protection of our children while they are receiving their educations. If my child is in danger I would feel much better knowing that one of the "good guys" is already their on staff. This is a must because the reality of our society is that we are the mercy of dangerous people if we aren't proactive. Please let our government see that we are demanding help and that we no longer want our children, families, and friends living in fear. They deserve protection everyday of the school year.
