Child Support Enforcement & judiciary lieniecy

Created by M.L. on August 13, 2015

Although there are laws around child support enforcement and statutes to govern policy Judges take it upon themselves to NOT abide by these laws and refuse to take the necessary steps to help working mothers living in poverty through no actions of their own collect money needed to give these children better lives. I live in southern Illinois and am owed over $20,000 in child support. I also work in a law firm as a legal assistant and our local judges refuse to do as the law states is suppose to be done I this situation. For over 15 years I have a man who has refused to pay and the judge will not hold the father in contempt of court and give this Father the class 4 felony sentence that the law states they should. an appeal and as a woman in poverty is financially impossible.
