The Children of every Congress member must enlist and fight any and all wars that the United States enters.

Created by R.H. on January 14, 2013

On behalf of the brave men and women in our armed forces that have been fighting in both of these long and drawn out wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I propose that the all legal aged children (18 years and up) of the elected persons of Congress be forced to enlist and serve 1 tour of duty every other year in an active war zone whenever they exercise their powers to declare War, under Article 1, section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. The hope is that if Congress puts their own blood and legacy on the line, instead of just our mighty all-volunteer force, they will exhaust every possible diplomatic solution. Also, this should cut the duration of any war that is still entered, saving both countless lives and $billions, if not $trillions of dollars.
