I would like to request one day out of the 365-day calendar year to declare a National Holiday to celebrate children. That day should be called Children's Day! Parents will be encouraged to design a special day with their children. Of course children love to play on a playground; receive personable gifts or a finger-painted picture; or just stay at home and bake cookies. The idea is to set aside a day of parent/child awareness where children will feel special for being a child. A day where we all live and love more intentionally. A day where entities will visit a children orphanage. A day to go out of our way to honor, love and appreciate the lives of our children.
