Chiropractor causing Severe Injuries, Please don't allow chiropractors to destroy people's lives without any consequence

I was injured by a chiropractor which has required me to go threw two back surgeries I've been in severe pain since Oct 21, 2011. I have been informed by several attorneys, in the state of North Carolina the law don't allow for a chiropractor to be held accountable for injuring an individual, or that the way the laws are written its impossible to bring a claim against a chiropractor. I'm an Ex Criminal Investigator with a local Police Department and this is just a travesty that an injury of this nature can occur and there is no recourse for the victims, I'm pleading for some assistance in this matter.
